Being around water
Firefighters may be required to carry out rescues in and around water, including flooding, rivers and lakes, and may be partially submerged at times. You are not required to be able to swim; however, you must be comfortable working in water while wearing appropriate personal protective equipment.

Distance
You must live within 10 miles of the Oxfordshire border before you start the role. If you are offered a position, you will be need to provide evidence of your address as part of the eligibility checks. Further information is available on the recruitment website.
